A student society in Leuven for people who'd rather understand business by being in it than by reading about it. We visit companies across all sorts of sectors — including the industries most people never think to look at, which is often exactly where the opportunities are — so you come away with a broad feel for how different worlds actually work. Every week we trade ideas and angles with each other, and we start a few ventures of our own. Practical over theoretical, a different path over a common one.
What we do
Everything at Insight runs on three things: getting inside real companies, thinking out loud together and informing each other every week, and starting a few ventures of our own. Each one feeds the others.
We visit companies across all kinds of sectors, from private equity to manufacturing, and we go for the ones where you can actually talk to the founder or CEO. Sitting with the person who runs it, we get to see how a business really works from the inside: how decisions get made, where things break, and how (or whether) they use automation and AI. The Insights are the whole point.
Every week one of us presents a deep-dive on a business topic they've properly researched: search funds, private credit, AI agents, a venture in progress. No filler slides. It's how we build a broad, sharp understanding of business, sharpen how we think and speak, and push each other to go a level deeper.
Insight isn't only about analysing business, it's about doing it. Members take what they pick up on visits and in pitches and put it to work in ventures of their own. Insight won't hand you one, that part is on you. But being surrounded by people who actually build and help each other in the whole process, makes it a lot harder to keep only talking about it.
What makes us different
We're small, and we plan to stay selective. The goal isn't a long member list, it's a tight network of genuinely entrepreneurial people you wouldn't find grouped together anywhere else in Leuven. Everything we do is pointed at that. Our alumni network will become the greatest, very close network a starting entrepreneur can wish for.
